Matix and Keaton!

Last Saturday Matix and I had our friends over Keaton and Dana for a sleep over. :) We love getting together with them! I met Dana about two years ago when we both worked at McFadden's. Her son is just a few months older than Matix and we all have so much fun when we get together! For Keaton's last birthday we went to the Zoo and the kids loved it! I need to get the pictures up of it next time I get on the computer. They came over and we watched movies and ate popcorn. We are hoping to be able to do this more often since we both have Saturdays off every weekend. :)

Christmas gift from Aunt Kelly...

This year for Christmas Matix was spoiled completely again. Lol. He got so many toys all consisting of either Thomas the Train or Disney Cars. This one was from his Aunt Kelly. She did a fantastic job and he loves it. It's a giant cardboard Mater that you put together and color! We were coloring him the other day and I snapped picture of them. It probably took me a good ten minutes to get one where he was actually looking at me but I thought it was pretty stinkin cute!

Matix's new hair cut!!

So last week I gave Matix another hair cut. He absolutely hates them and everytime I give him one he acts like I'm sawing his arm off. Lol. This time I gave him some chocolate (if you don't know already he takes after his mother and chocolate is his weakness) and told him he could play in the bathtub when he was finished, if he was a good boy. He did surprisingly well and I was very proud of him. Here is a picture of his cute hair on our way to school the next day! What a cheese ball!! :)

Tonight Aunt Jackie and Cousin Suzy flew into town so we went out to eat in Old Town Scottsdale after work. :) We had so much food I was stuffed after the appetizers! This week...

This week has been pretty crazy. I have been super busy at work with it being year end and all. Matix is doing amazing! He hasn't had an accident at home in about a month and I couldn't be happier! We really lucked out. It took him a while to poop in the potty but we never had any accidents at night. Ever since his trip to Utah he has done so much better! He is also doing better at school. Since he came back he hasn't had any issues with hitting his friends and his teachers say that he is doing great. I can't believe how much he has grown up in the past month.

So on another note Monday is MLK day and Matix's daycare is closed so I get to stay home with him and play all day! The only thing that could screw this up is apparently our apartment complex decided to rip out all the floors of the apartment above us, including our patio roof with out letting us know.  Between the sawing, hammering, mexican music, and their child that they brought to work with them yelling I'm about to freak out! Not only that but we can't go onto our patio with out shit falling all over us! I don't know why they couldn't schedule it for during the week while we were at work but we can't even hear our tv. If this is still going on tomorrow and Monday I'm going to lose it. We have already called them but they didnt seem to care because they are still working. I just hope its done soon so I can enjoy my day off! Sorry just needed to vent!

On a happier note here is a picture of Matix reading my nook I got for Christmas! :) It has a lot on free interactive books for him and he loves to read!

New years resolutions!

So I made a few small resoutions this year. One of them is to keep my blog updated and post atleast once a week. Through out the year I'll try and catch up everyone on this past year since I didnt post at all and so much has changed.

The day before Halloween we carved our pumpkins. Matix did a scary face and Kelly carved a kitty cat. Matix pretended to scrape out the insides all while making sure he didn't actually touch any of it.

We had a great Halloween. Mike and I had to work all morning but when I got off I took a little nap while Brittany and Tracy took Matix to the mall to trick or treat. When they got back we went to a couple houses trick or treating and then passed out candy and watched a scary movie. We actually had a lot of trick or treaters, I was very surprised. I thought for sure there would be some extra candy for me but apparently I just need to go back to Walmart and buy some more since it will all be on clearance. :)

So on Sunday Oct 23rd we went to the pumpkin patch in Glendale with Brittany and Tracy. We had so much fun and Matix loved it! Here he is riding the tractor with Tracy!

They had a little petting zoo so he got to pet a donkey.

He stuck his whole hand into the chicken coop to pet the chickens and they weren't very fond of the idea so they ended up pecking him. Lol.

Apparently he didn't learn his lesson from the chickens because at the next stop he got bit by a much larger bird! I thought he was going to cry but I guess it didn't hurt, he was just scared.

We tried to get him to sit on the hay to take pictures.

Westgate...

I wanted to post this for my mom and dad to be able to see pictures of where I work! :) It's so nice and pretty here they need to come visit me ASAP! These pictures are of Westgate in which McFadden's is located. Westgate holds the Jobbing Arena and the University of Phoenix stadium so we are perfect for events such as concerts, NFL, and NHL games. :)

The picture is of Matix playing in the fountains. We went for sushi at Kabuki in Westgate a few weeks ago and let him play in the fountains when we were done. He loves anything with water! Here is a video of him mesmerized by the fountains as well. Lol.

When we went to Kabuki he was such a funny boy. I don't know if the Asian fever rubbed off on him or what but he kept making Asian face and sticking the chopsticks up his nose!! Bahaha!!

It's been a while...

We have a lot of catching up to do. Mike and I are doing wonderful. He started working at McFadden's with me about a month ago and I love working with him. Some how I never get sick of him ;) We have a wonderful arrangement with my friend Sheree who has a 1 month old baby where we switch off babysitting during the week. I watch her little girl Tattianna Monday Tuesday Wednesday afternoons and she watches Matix for us on the weekend nights that Mike and I work together. Tattianna is the cutest thing on the planet and I love watching her. She is making Mike and I baby hungry though. LOL.

Mike has been a busy guy, he had his 23rd birthday on the 29th of September and so we met up with Tracy and Brittany at Dave & Busters for a little suprise birthday get together. We had an amazing time playing cames and stuffing our faces with cake. I was very unprepared for the night and forgot to take my camera so I have no pictures to show. :( I'm super bummed so I decided to just put one up of him and Matix.

Mike has been looking and looking for jobs everyday and hasn't had much luck. He goes to interview after interview and is very hopeful and persistant but always gets let down. I admire him for all his hard work and how hard he is trying each and everyday. Just this past weekend he had an interview at Main Street Real Estate and is going to be able to work a temporary shift with them. If they like him, he has a chance to move up to an actual employee and full time with benifits. This is his first week starting Monday so I'm praying everything will work out for us. We are so hopeful and are trying to be positive about our situation. I'm so grateful for our family down here and that they are able to help and guide us in the right direction.

At my work we do theme nights where we get to dress up. Last weekend we had a back to school night where we got to dress up as school girls or nerds. For Matix's 2nd birthday we woke up and went swimming in our pool. Then we took him to his first movie ever and it was Toy Story 3. After that we went home and Matix took a nap. When he woke up we ordered pizza and did presents and cake and ice cream. :) He had a wonderful birthday and got super spoiled! He got some pjs and a toy story outfit. Some Clifford books from Grandma Michelle. A Cars tent from my family. A toy story drum set, a woody harmonica, a beach ball and lounge floatie for the pool, and some cars all from Auntie Kelly. He also got a Toy Story camping chair from Bekah too. Here are a few pictures from the party.

In this last picture he was on the phone with grandma haha! It was so cute how he just sat there like he was on the phone all the time.. It's no deal mom.. I know what I'm doing.. ;)

So Matix's birthday is on the 29th and Tracy's is on the 2nd. We a joint birthday part and Chuck-E-Cheese today with Mike's family to celebrate. It was actually the first time I have ever been there so I was pretty excited too. Matix didn't really know what to think of Chucky but we had a lot of fun. The only part of dinner Matix actually ate was the cake (who could blame him) and I got quite a few pictures of him stuffing his face! He loved all the rides that had steering wheels and that moved. The last picture is of the birthday boys riding the monster truck (that was Matix's favorite). It was a great night! Matix got Mega blocks, some swimming toys, and Arctic Splash water table.. AND a Toy Story Trike! :) I put it together when we got home but it was already past Matix's bed time so I'll take some pictures of him playing with all of his toys tomorrow. Today Matix, Isis, and I all lounged around watching TV in our PJ's most of the morning. I was zoned in on wife swap when I looked down just to find the two cutest butts watching TV under our coffee table together. It was so precious I had to share. The first picture my flash was off so its kind of dark (I tried to lighten it up but now it looks very low quality) but when I went to take another they both looked back to see what was going on and the moment was over. :(

Now that my blog is almost up to date this is my last post of the bunch. Yesterday Isis stuck her head in one of our bushes in the back yard and something bit her. I was at work at the time but Mike said she started vomiting and was really disoriented. When he went out back to check on her a few minutes later her face had swollen up like a balloon and she had hives all over her body. It was so bad her eyes were swollen shut! He called my work in a panic thinking a scorpion or a rattle snake had bit her. He said she looked really bad and from the way she was acting he didn't think she was going to make it. I quickly told my boss of the situation so I could get home and take her to the emergency vet. The whole way home I just cried wondering what was going to happen and what we were going to do. Mike got Matix ready and found an emergency vet office that was still open. We quickly drove her down and got her checked in. The vet immediately knew that is was a severe allergic reaction and gave her a few shots and some fluids. About an hour later they let us take her home and the swelling had started to go down. They said they couldn't quite pin point the cause of the reaction but they said it could be anything from a bug bit or bee sting to the pollen in the bush. All night she was still pretty swollen but by this evening everything is pretty much back to normal excluding the hives still on her belly. Thank god she is okay. To lose our little princess Isis would just break my heart! Hopefully whatever happened won't happen again but I'm afraid whatever it is is in our backyard so it probably will. We will just have to watch her closely and if it does get her to chew some Benadryl asap. Hopefully that will save us from more trips to the vet in the future because I know Mike doesn't feel like dropping $300 every time she gets curious lol.

Mother's Day

I had an amazing Mother's day. I woke up in the morning to Mike and Matix handing me box with this bracelet in it! :) Being a mom is the most wonderful thing in the world. It's crazy how it changes your life. :D

The day prior to Mother's day Mike and I sent our mothers flowers! These are the ones we sent to my mom but unfortunately Mike didn't keep the text Michelle sent us of her flowers but hers were beautiful as well. We just wanted to make sure our mothers know how much they mean to us and how much we miss both of them!

Last day, Beach day..

The next day we were headed home so we decided to get up early and make a pit stop at the beach before we left. I've never been to west coast so I was pretty excited! We ended up going to Coronado beach and it was so pretty. I completely fell in love. Matix absolutely loved the ocean and the sea shells. He would run out to the waves and sit down, just waiting for them to come up and splash him. Lol. He was a handful that day considering there was plenty to get into. Mike went to a shop close by and bought a board to play on out in the waves. Need less to say we all were exhausted from our sunburns and the little sleep we had. All in all it was a relaxing day on the beach. The whole trip was amazing and we hope to make it again soon so that we can take Matix to the San Diego Zoo!

Sea World..

After Six Flags we drove the hour and a half to San Diego and caught some shut eye. When we got up the next morning we went to Sea World! Matix absolutely loved the Shamu show and Sea Lions Live. He clapped and shrieked with excitement through the whole entire show. Even now if you chant "Shamu.. Shamu" he will wave his arms in the air and clap lol! By the end of the day we were all sunburned and exhausted but it was well worth it!

Six Flags!!!

A couple weeks ago Kelly, Mike and I were sitting on our couch watching TV and getting ready to play Wii when we discovered that Kelly had the whole next week off and I had Sunday through Thursday off. So we decided we were finally going to San Diego! We got up the next morning and headed off for Valencia to go to Six Flags. We had about a 7 hour trip there if I remember right so when we got there on Monday we settled in at our hotel and got some rest. The next morning we got up and went to Six Flags. It was so much fun! We rode on almost every ride. Honestly it's probably my favorite place in the world!

Easter 2010 was a pretty relaxing day. We got Matix up to open his Easter basket and his hot wheels cars were his favorite. Although I don't think I've seen them since Easter day, he has hidden them in the couch or somewhere and they cannot be found. Along with his basket he got the movie Cars and watches it almost daily. My mom sent me some pictures of the family coloring easter eggs which I will include. :) We BBQ ed ribs that night and had a delicious dinner. All in all and wonderful Sunday.. :)

SUPRISE!!

So back in I believe the beginning of April Mike and I are having a relaxing night at home. I had the day off so we were just watching TV as usual. It was around 11 pm when the door bell rang... We really don't know many people here and with it being that late we decided to check the peep hole before answering.. Well if any of you have one you know that is isn't used very often (considering you usually know when someone is stopping by your house) and since we are still a little new to the place we had no idea why we couldn't see anything out of it.. So we just decided to let it go.. Well who ever it was wasn't going anywhere.. They kept ringing our door bell and knocking.. This had us pretty freaked out. We decided to call Kelly our roommate and see if she was expecting anyone at the door.. She said she wasn't but she was almost home and decided to drive by the house to check it out before opening the garage.. She said it was a younger quite tall male with a blue car that had a fin.. We were puzzled.. Finally our friend Keith from Utah finally ruined his surprise to us and called Mike so we could let him in. He drove the 9 HOURS to our house to surprise us and visit!! :) I don't think we had been so excited in quite a while! How does someone just jump in their car and say "hey.. I think I'll go visit my best friend who lives 9 hours away tonight.." Haha Keith said he decided to come about thirty minutes before he left! It was such a wonderful surprise. We can't wait until he can come visit again! Here is a picture of Mike, Matix, and Keith all playing Wii. :)

While he was here I also introduced Keith to the most amazing food in the world and now he is hooked.. He sent me this picture from his phone just a few weeks ago. Instead of just microwaving frozen burritos throw them in a deep fryer they come out DELICIOUS! They are so cheap and easy that is all he ate when he got here. When he got home he missed them so much he had to go buy his own deep fryer! :) Lol.

Everyday Kellys takes a "nap" on the couch with Isis when she gets off work. I'm going to try and take more pictures of this ritual because they more often than not find themselves sleeping the the exact same position just in the opposite direction. Haha!

Birthday!!!

I had an amazing birthday yesterday!!! :) I got up semi-early and went to work to train as a server with Beccah and Kelly. We stopped off and got some McDonalds breakfast and coffee. When we got to work it was actually a pretty busy afternoon so I learned a lot from Beccah. While I was at work Kelly sent me flowers :)

Then when I got off work I stayed and waited for kelly to get off (because we rode together) and had a free drink and free food at McFaddens. When we finally got home Mike and I went to go pick out a present for me. :) Earlier this week my mom's present came in the mail and she got me a Scentsy which I am completely in love with!! Now my whole house smells like love spell constantly. (Jessica if you haven't gotten one or heard of one please invest in this it will be your favorite thing in the world!!) :)

My mother in law Michelle sent me some really cute sweats and an Olive Garden gift card. (Which is one of my favorite restaurants) Everyone made my birthday wonderful! I got lost of calls and texts from family and friends and I had 25 notifications on facebook just to wish me a wonderful day! I just want to thank everyone for making me feel great on my b-day. Now that I'm 23 I don't think I'm ever going to look forward to turning 24 or 25 and so on and so forth. I'm past the days of excitement for getting older. This was my Jordan birthday and then next is my Kobe birthday. Lol.

So the house we moved into is about 1400 sq ft and the best part is we have a POOL!!! It is a 4 bedroom 2 bath with a 2 car garage. I went out and took some pictures today for everyone. I love it so much. It is so nice to have an actual house that we could repaint and have a yard for Matix and Isis. I'm loving the palm trees in our yard. p.s. they are the cutest trees in the world. Here is also a better picture of our entertainment center and the great room paint job. :)

I haven't been very good at posting so just for an update Mike and I had our 2 year wedding anniversary on Valentines day and we couldn't be happier. We can't believe we have been married for 2 years!! It has gone by so quickly. He is the love of my life and I'm so lucky to have him as my husband. Matix is still getting bigger and is now starting a little bit of the terrible twos. :( Even though he now officially knows how to throw a fit it is still the cutest thing on the planet. A few weeks ago we were at the store and Matix loves giving kisses to anyone and everyone. He was sitting in the cart all buckled in while Mike and I were unloading the cart onto the redgister. There was an old lady behind us and apparently she got too close to him and he kissed her LOL. I'm going to have to get a sign for when we take Matix out that says "Keep your distance, I kiss" Yesterday the land lord came over to meet us (she lives in Indiana) and see the paint job and when she picked Matix up he kissed her too. It cracks me up. I'm working at McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon with Kelly. I started as a hostess and a promotional girl. This week I start training as a server which I will be making a lot more money so I'm excited for that. I guess they have McFadden's all over the country. There is one in Vegas, D.C., New York, Philly and a bunch of other places. If you get bored you can check out our website just google McFadden's. :) Well for now I think that is about it. :)

When we moved in everything was white but 2 of the bedrooms had blue in them. If you picture a red bull can that is the blue they put in Mike and my room as a border for the floor and then in Kelly's room they had the sugar free redbull blue on 2 of the walls :S So we decided to repaint everything! We haven't finished Matix's room yet (We are doing it in Phoenix Suns colors and getting him some jerseys and posters for the walls :) ) but we have everything else done! Big move to Arizona!

So as most of you know Mike and I packed up and moved to Arizona about a month ago. I LOVE it here! We have been having so much fun! I got a new job at McFadden's Saloon with my best friend Kelly from Idaho. Life has been pretty crazy with moving and starting a new job. We found a house up here to rent and we have been repainting the whole house and decorating. We also have a new addition to our family. We got a little girl dog named Isis she is about 11 weeks and adorable! :) She is such a well mannered dog we love her. She loves Matix and is already pottytrained! Here are some pictures of us at our new place. In the second picture matix grabbed his blanket and was laying down in Isis's bed. He thinks he shares a bed with his sister now Lol It is so cute when I come in to find them both cuddling :)

Michelle's friend Amy is a photographer for some magazines and so she took Matix out for a photo shoot. :) He was so cute! He got paid and even got to keep all the new clothes that they bought him for the photo shoot. :) We are going to start a savings fund for him with the money. The magazines Amy shoots for have over 250,000 subscribers so it's not a bad start for our little man! She said I could post the pictures up on the blog but not on facebook so everyone enjoy! They are adorable! I'm in love. She plans on using him again for future shoots. :) They even took a couple with Mike in them. I'm seriously in love...

Mike and I walked from our hotel at the Luxor all the way down the Venetian!! If you have been to Vegas you know how far that is! On the way back we couldn't walk anymore so we decided to ask a nice black lady for some change so we could take the bus back.. little did we know she couldn't count. She said if we gave her $10 (The bus is $3 a piece) that she would just pay our way and then she would give us the change. Well that didn't happen because she put the ten in and the bus doesn't give you change, so instead of giving us $4 back (or even $3 for her part of the pass) she decided to complain to the bus driver about losing a dollar. When actually she got on for free. She was an idiot ha ha. Finally she realized that Mike and I had lost the money but she only figured out $1 of the $4 that we lost. I still don't understand how someone could be so confused about $4 dollars. Vegas man, Vegas... Oh and Kassi and I saw Skills from One Tree Hill. He happened to be getting a sammy in line in front of us at our hotel. So I made Kassi go talk to him so we could get a picture. He plays such a cool character in the show that I was very disappointed when he wasn't nice at all. :( Oh well though it is still something to remember right? :) We also got to go on the New York, New York rollercoaster and it was super fun until I got a migraine mid-ride. Well worth it though! :)

Vegas New Year Pictures!! We were in front of the New York, New York for the countdown! It was an amazing new years and there were a million people! Honestly one of the craziest nights of my life. We saw everything from fights to drug busts at "Fat Burger" haha. The paper the next day said that they took about 130 people to jail that night. I don't even know how LVPD did it but it was crazy. Luckily they were on every corner and Mike was by my side , I would never brave that alone.. ever.. All in all it was wonderful! I've never really done anything fun for New Years so it was nice for a change of pace.

I took all the time to design those Christmas cards and ended up just going to Walmart and making one from the kiosk in the electronics section. I don't know if it is as cute but it is with the same pictures. Matix is getting so big and has started doing the cutest things!! He now will blow kisses and he knows where his head and his eyes are. Everytime I get him out of his high chair he insists on buckling his highchair belt back up after every meal. Lol. I'll try and get some videos of him doing it. It's adorable. He now also has made up his own language that he expects you to understand. It's soo funny! I've been super bad about blogging so I'll try and keep everyone updated and start taking more pictures!

Last night after we got Matix all tucked into bed we got ready and went over to my cousins Kodak and Laura's house for their annual Halloween Party! They has the sickest decorations it was amazing. We took him to a couple houses around the neighborhood and then went to his Aunt Lisa's house to get some candy. It's been a while since I've wrote so I'll catch you up really quick. I've moved back in with Mike in Provo and I'm very close to having a job. I'm planning on going back to school when Mike gets back in April from his job in Kentucky and in New Mexico. He will be gone for 7 months and I'm going to miss him soo much. He is leaving this Friday and I'm so sad.. I want him to go because it is a great opportunity and he will be making ALOT of money. So we will be able to get out of debt and get a home when he returns but I'm going to miss him.

Today is Kelsey's birthday but we had a suprise party for her yesterday at the BYU bowling alley. We bowled and had pizza and cake. It was way fun and I think she was super suprised to see all of us there. Here are some pictures of her sweet sixteen!

Okay so it's been a minute and I've noticed that I only have one post for August! I finally got Matix's birthday pictures back from Penny's so I'm going to scan them at work tomorrow and get them posted asap! Also I have a few videos to share of Matix walking and such. I've been trying to catch one of him rocking out in the car for the longest time but everytime I whip out the camera he cheeses it and wont dance anymore. He is such a turkey. Well my dad had his 50th birthday on the 10th and I would have loved to have pictures to post but I miss the whole celebration. I had been sick at work all day and when I got home it didn't get any better. I had to go lay down and so I missed everything!! :( Everyone said they had a fun, they had a BBQ and cake and presents. Matix is now walking more than he is crawling and is into everything! I'll get those videos put on tonight so you all can see him! He is such a sweetheart. He is my little buddy and I couldn't ask for more! :) I have so much fun with him! Well now that the kids are back to school as of Monday I found a daycare that he is going to. The daycare isn't quite open yet but since the administrator knew I needed someone right away to watch him she is watching him at her house until they get open. I'm very comfortable with her and her home so it is nice to know that Matix has some place to go and play during the day. She does breakfast, lunch, snacks, baby sign language, and even plays classical music when they sleep. :) I'm sure the first few days will be rough with him.. specially since his is working on his 8th tooth but he is adjusting well. I'm really excited to get back to Provo and get my life back in order. It just doesn't feel the same with out Mike. He really is my everything. Hopefully it will be within the next month that I write a blog about our new apartment!! :) Oh and about Mike! He is doing just wonderful! He is starting school at UVU tomorrow with a major in Business. He has also got his business MW Landscaping rolling and he now has 3 clients. They just bought all their equipment so they are ready to get busy. The clients they have right now are just residential but it is a good way to build up their resumes so they can tackle some company clients! :) I'm so proud of him for both going back to school and getting his business started! This coming year is going to be a busy one with all of Mike's schooling and work but it's going to be a great one!

Duchesne County Fair! 08.06.09

Back on the 6th we went over to the Duchesne county fair. They were having a battle of the bands, demolition derby, yummy food, and a few small rides. When we got there we watched a couple of bands (one was Carston's old band) while my mom and dad went to see the end of the demolition derby. We met up after and got some really yummy fair food and then rode a couple of rides. Matix went on a little train with Kamryn and the boys played on the Velcro wall. All in all it was a pretty fun night.
